Small Group Ministry

Sunday school has had a strong, positive influence in my life now for more than fifty years. My memories span from the earliest ones of participating in the Beginners classes as a child to sharing the Word today as a teacher in a couples class.

In Sunday school, I found a rooting and grounding in my faith, walk and relationship with God and with those around me. Sunday school has provided me with a casual, yet structured means to read, study and apply the Word of God. In Sunday school I have not only learned about God and His grace, but I have also learned to share the gift of His grace.

Sunday school is more than just reviewing the stories about how God worked in somebody’s life many years ago. Sunday school provides me with hope, encouragement and instructions for practical daily living and helps equip me to be a giver of the gift of God’s grace.

There are several things I like about Sunday school. With our busy schedules, one of the things I really appreciate is the time my wife and I spend together studying for our lesson. I also enjoy the fellowship. We have a great time with our class on Sunday mornings and at our monthly fellowships. The food isn’t bad either! Being in class with other adults also allows us to have interesting discussions about the Bible. People are more likely to open up and interact in the small group setting that Sunday school provides. It has really allowed us to build relationships in our class with fellow believers and grow in our knowledge of the Bible
