Shepherd's Care Church Assistance Program brings confidentiality, professional Christian counseling and educational resources to the local church. This program encourages church members to deal with stresses of personal, family or work-related problems as early as possible and to seek competent help in times of crisis. These counseling services consist of one-hour sessions available at two of our locations - one in Dalton, GA and one in Chattanooga, TN.

There are limits as to what the church can accomplish. Some people hesitate to confide in the pastor or a fellow member. Many situations are beyond the capability of the congregation.

Shepherd's Care is available to GLBC family members, those in their households and dependent children who may be away from home.

All contacts are strictly confidential. Shepherd's Care will not release names or information without the church member's permission. We will hold your confidentiality in the highest regard.

The cost of the program is free to the members as the governing board of GLBC has entered into a contract with Shepherd's Care for the next 12 months and paid the contract fee.

If the Shepherd's Care counselor feels GLBC members need to be referred to an outside provider, Shepherd's Care will give recommendations as to those available in our area and will schedule appointments. The financial responsibility will be that of the GLBC member.
